This is our Our Lady of Perpetual Help Badge/Patch. It has been designed with vestment making in mind but it would also make a lovely addition to a backpack! This would make a very striking central piece to a vestment Orphrey. This is surrounded with a decorative border to frame the image.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help is a Roman Catholic title of the Blessed Virgin Mary associated with a 15th-century Byzantine icon and a reported Marian apparition. The icon is believed to have originated from the Keras Kardiotissas Monastery and has been in Rome since 1499. The image was designated as the national Patroness of the Republic of Haiti and of Almoradí.
The embroidery is very detailed and has taken many hours to produce, hence the price.
The badge does have an iron on backing (it is optional to iron it on), for application I would recommend pressing firmly (with a cloth over the badge to secure and then to follow with some stitching.
